Scott has been tuning since 1980 and has been contracted by Tom Lee Music both in Vancouver and Vancouver Island since 1994. He is considered a highly skilled Technician by his peers and Piano Consultants.

Some of the top artists he's tuned for are: Billy Joel, Paul Anka, Tony Bennett. Scott was the official tuner for The Red Robinson Show Theatre 2006-2008. (See reference)

He also had the opportunity to service Stevie Wonder's Yamaha Grand C7 Piano, and three Clavinets at GM Place in July 2008 (at "A442 Pitch" at Mr. Wonder's request).

Scott was also the official tuner for Place des Arts in Coquitlam between 2002-2009. (See reference)

In addition to his technical skills, Scott is a very accomplished Mandolin artist, and has been involved in many music ensembles over the years including Bluegrass and classical Choral.

Growing up in a musical family, Scott Friesen has always had music in his blood. He turned professional piano tuner in 1980, and has had the pleasure of tuning pianos for some famous musicians.

Scott has had the privilege of taking training at Steinway in New York city. This included tuning, regulation, and voicing. Scott has worked with all kinds of piano makes and models, whether they be grands or uprights. He is also willing to work on older pianos that may require some repairs before a tuning can be done. He also spent 9 years working with Tom Lee music in Vancouver, BC, as a piano technician, although on his own, he continues to freelance with Tom Lee to this day.
